Where is ButterJoy Cake House?

ButterJoy Cake House is at 35, Jalan Dato Haji Harun, Taman Taynton View, 56000 Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. We're open daily from 9am to 5pm for pickup and walk-ins.

What is ButterJoy known for?

ButterJoy is known for cute handmade mochi cakes – our "Mochi Buddies", soft sponge cakes wrapped in chewy mochi skin and shaped into characters. We also make fruit mochi cakes and mille crepe cakes.

Do you have same-day delivery?

Yes, for mochi cakes. Order Mochi Buddies and fruit mochi cakes by 1pm for same-day delivery across the Klang Valley (Kuala Lumpur and Selangor). Mille crepe cakes (6-inch and 8-inch) need to be ordered 1 day ahead.

Is delivery free?

Delivery is free for orders above RM250 within the Klang Valley (one delivery date and address per order).

Is ButterJoy halal?

Our kitchen uses no pork and no lard. Halal certification is in progress, and we'll update this page once it's issued.

How much are your cakes?

Fruit mochi cakes (3-inch) start from RM33. Mochi Buddy cakes (4.5-inch) are RM88–RM98. Baby Mochi sets start from RM58. Mille crepe cakes are RM119 (6-inch) and RM139 (8-inch).

How many people does each cake serve?

• 3-inch fruit mochi: 1–2 people
• 4.5-inch Mochi Buddy: 5–8 people
• 6-inch mille crepe: 8–12 people
• 8-inch mille crepe: 8–12 people

Do cakes come with candles, a knife and a message card?

Every mochi cake comes with a message card and simple candles. For RM3 more, choose our celebration set with a cake knife, nicer candles and a message card. You can also add number candles, fireworks candles and cutlery sets at checkout.

Can I have a name or message written on the cake?

Our Mochi Bestie Box and Mochi Squad Box have space in the middle for your own wording – just tell us what to write when you order. For other cakes, your message goes on the message card. WhatsApp us if you have a special request.

How should I store a mochi cake?

Keep it refrigerated and enjoy it within 2–3 days. Take it out about 20 minutes before serving so the mochi skin softens.

Why was my cake firm or cold when it arrived?

Our cakes are delivered chilled so they hold their shape in Malaysian heat. Let them rest at room temperature for 20–30 minutes before serving.

Can I pick up from the shop?

Yes. Choose pickup at checkout and collect from our Cheras shop between 9am and 5pm.
