Return and Refund Policy

Introduction

This policy is in line with the Consumer Protection Act 1999 and relevant guidelines under the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDNKK). We are committed to ensuring consumer rights and maintaining a transparent process for all refunds and returns while adhering to applicable legal standards.

General Policy

All purchases made on Butterjoy.my are subject to the terms and conditions outlined in this policy. Once an order is confirmed, it cannot be cancelled except under specific circumstances outlined below. We strive to ensure the highest quality of service, and while refunds are generally not provided, exceptions are made in compliance with Malaysian consumer protection laws.

Refund Eligibility

Refunds are issued under the following circumstances:

  • If a product is deemed defective or damaged upon receipt by the customer.
  • If the delivery address provided falls outside the designated delivery coverage areas as stipulated at the time of purchase. In such cases, a full refund will be processed in the form of a store credit/voucher, valid for 12 months.

Please note that no refunds will be issued for orders that cannot be completed due to incorrect or incomplete delivery information provided by the customer. In cases where delivery is unsuccessful due to the purchaser or receiver being unreachable, we reserve the right to void the order.

Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds are not applicable if:

  • The product has been tampered with or used.
  • Any information provided by the customer is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • The customer changes their mind after the product has been dispatched.

Cancellation by the Company

In the rare event that Butterjoy.my is unable to fulfill an order, we reserve the right to cancel it. Customers will be promptly notified of such cancellations, and a FULL refund will be issued in the form of store credits or to the original mode of payment or some special case we do refund via bank transfer (with RM15 flat service charges) in 3-5 working days, as deemed appropriate.

Consumer Redress

In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 1999 and KPDNKK regulations, any disputes or requests for refunds will be handled in compliance with consumer rights legislation. If you believe your situation merits a refund or cancellation under the applicable laws, please contact our customer service team immediately to facilitate the process.
